Sharon currently works as Student Engagement Specialist for Fort Worth ISD where she engages students identified by campus administrative team as at-risk of truant conduct and dropping out to help the youth and their families re-engage in their education. Sharon is also the Founder and Executive Director of non-profit LGBTQ Saves. At the Girls Inc. of Tarrant County Champions Breakfast, Sharon Herrera was presented with the 2023 Bold Woman Award for her outstanding work to support LGBTQ Youth. In addition, Sharon is a Certified Mediator, a Certified QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Instructor, Certified in Critical Incident Stress Management, and much more. She has a passion for inclusive mental health care to vulnerable populations and a heart for simply making the world a better place.
