Now in semi-retirement, John loves to apply the experience of more than 20 years incorporate management mixed with his 5 years at the IRS to helping individuals and small businesses. John became associated with Averett Financial in 2017 assisting in the preparation of individual, small business, and non-profit tax returns. In August 2018, John has merged his company, Count Keepers, with Averett Financial. This ongoing association with Averett Financial will ensure his customers have access to the broadest range of services and expertise. Through Averett Financial, John will continue to provide filing of personal and business income taxes services to individuals and non-profits, as well assisting them in the development of business strategies and implementation of bookkeeping systems. He also provides customized services to multiple small business organizations, including strategic and operational planning, along with general accounting and bookkeeping services. For the other part of his semi-retirement, John enjoys traveling and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
