Community Service

• Big Brothers Big Sisters: I served on the BBBS LGBTQ+ Advisory Council for 3 years (2017-
2020). This consisted of advocating and serving BBBS. We volunteer, raise money and auction
items to help BBBS continue to serve LGBTQ+ youth in the Dallas area.

• Texas Impact: I served on the board as a representative of the Disciples of Christ denomination
for 3.5 years (2016-2019). This consists of participating in board meetings, providing financial
support, and engaging in Texas Legislation as a person/leader of faith.

• Just Say Know Ministries- I have been involved in Just Say Know Ministries since 2008 in
varying roles including: steward, counselor, keynoter-in-training, and keynoter. A keynoter is
trained in a well-rounded sex education curriculum. This is an asset that I could bring to a wide
variety of communities in need of sex education.

Work History

• July 2023 Alliance Child and Family Services

Practicum Intern

• April 2021 to present Knights of Comfort Hospice
Hospice Chaplain

Serving a hospice company has cultivated skills of working with and ministering to patients in their end
stages of life. My primary role is to offer pastoral care and counseling alongside spiritual and grief
support to patients and families as they experience multiple and varied forms of grief.

• November 2020 to present First Christian Church of Aubrey

Senior Pastor

As the Senior and solo Pastor, my responsibilities include teaching and preaching each week as well as
providing pastoral care and counseling to the congregation. In this setting I continue to work with adults
and senior citizens.
September 2016 to March 2020 Juliette Fowler Communities
Director of Spiritual Life, Chaplain

My service at Juliette Fowler Communities fostered and sharpened my spiritual gifts of administration,
pastoral care, and building relationships. This context of ministry stretched my spiritual gifts and opened
my ability to serve alongside a multi-generation of people. In this position, I embraced my pastoral
authority and my passion for serving and bridging relationships with people, which is the first step in
building any ministry. Juliette Fowler opened opportunities in a multitude of leadership settings. I served
as the Community Engagement Site Liaison for the Dallas XPLOR House, which is a young adult
discernment ministry. I also represented Juliette Fowler at Regional Council Meetings for the Christian
Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Southwest.

• November 2014 to September 2016 Juliette Fowler Communities

Chaplain Intern

The chaplain internship at Juliette Fowler is what introduced me to a ministry of working especially with
senior citizens as well as multi-generations. The internship is what introduced me to and sharpened
practical ministry skills of funerals, pastoral care and counseling, worship planning, administration, etc.
This was also a great time in which I had a wonderful mentor that helped strengthen my leadership and
listening skills.

• February 2012 to November 2014 First Christian Church of Plano

Pastor of Youth

During my time here, I grew exponentially in Spirit and in strength with the senior pastor teaching me
the skill of calm presence in a variety of situations. I also learned the joy of doing ministry alongside
middle school and high school aged youth and found my spiritual gifts of teaching and preaching.

• October 2010 to December 2011 First Christian Church of Lubbock

Teacher’s Assistant
Child Development Center
